21 Guns lyrics

I think this song is appealing to me more now that I have watched Transformers. I think it has become a romantic/sweet song for me.for my s.o.

Do you know what's worth fighting for,
When it's not worth dying for?
Does it take your breath away
And you feel yourself suffocating?
Does the pain weigh out the pride?
And you look for a place to hide?
Did someone break your heart inside?
You're in ruins.

One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky,
You and I

When you're at the end of the road
And you lost all sense of control
And your thoughts have taken their toll
When your mind breaks the spirit of your soul
Your faith walks on broken glass
And the hangover doesn't pass
Nothing's ever built to last
You're in ruins.

One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky,
You and I

Did you try to live on your own
When you burned down the house and home?
Did you stand too close to the fire?
Like a liar looking for forgiveness from a stone

When it's time to live and let die
And you can't get another try
Something inside this heart has died
You're in ruins.

One, 21 guns
Lay down your arms
Give up the fight
One, 21 guns
Throw up your arms into the sky (x2)

you and I.

Transformers 2 and the Matrix of Leadership

I just saw the movie today with my brother. This is our bonding movie. All in all i give it four stars. You have to give it to the computer/technical guys who made those images of the robots making them transform in a very fascinating way like they are really real. Bumblebee rocked in this movie. He actually kicked the ass of one of the Dicepticons. There are some things in the movie that is predictable like the alien woman pursuing Sam.The chemistry between Shia and Megan Fox is evident this time around however Megan seems to be consciously and always pouting her lips a lot making all the guys in the cinema happier. I really think she can pull off the Lara Croft role because she has the fierce eyes without trying too hard just like Angelina not that she can be the next Angelina. I am just saying she can be Lara Croft but never Angelina. Besides it is better to build your own niche in the big Hollywood industry. She should give drama a try after she does Lara Croft. Shia on the other hand has a good looking geeky boyish appeal. He can't look tough but he really looks kind and trustworthy. I can tell that the director really worked hard for this movie and I can understand the burn out of Michael Bay that made him say that this would be his last Transformers film. Watch out for the following:
1. Bumblebee's rocking moves
2. the ancestors
3. Mikayla's pouty lips
4. Sam's transformation as part of the all spark and as a leader
5. Optimus Prime in the woods
6. songs that we can currently hear in our favorite radio stations like Rx (Manila)

President Obama's Swatting Skills

PETA condemned the action of President Obama when he swatted a fly that was bothering him while being interviewed by John Harwood of CNBC. I think this incident is really an eye opener to Obama because he is the president of the most powerful state and all his actions are being judged from what he eats to what he kills. Maybe he might also be scrutinized if he kills a bed bug or a mosquito that could bite him. It is really hard to be under the scrutiny of the public eye because even swatting an insect can be judged as a bad thing. He is after all human and his action was just a natural response from a training he got from his family on how to deal with flies in the house when he was young. They should also scrutinize the cleaning staff because if the place was cleaned well flies would not be flying around like that. I think this also sends a message that Obama is just like most common people. He sees a fly and it is bugging him incessantly and he swats it. Most people would do it. Other elite ones who never had to deal with flies or would have someone kill the flies for them would find it really yucky.

MTV Movie Award 2009's Best Portion (for me)

The best part in the MTV Movie Awards 2009 for me was the satirical/comical portion that the host Andy Rosenberg did about action movie stars not looking or turning back when there is an explosion. They said cool guys don't turn back on an explosion. They just walk away in slow motion. Yeah its so true, why don't they look back anyways just for one look or better yet why don't they run. In shows like C.S.I. however they would really run and dock.

My review on Juno

Juno is a funny and refreshing movie. The heavy subject of having teenaged pregnancy which is the focus of the film has been shown through the perspective of the pregnant teenager ,Juno. She is not your typical promiscuous teenager in fact she just did it more out of curiosity not knowing the full weight of some rare chance of a big consequence. The teenaged father is Bleeker the awkward yet cute young boy whose passion for jogging helps him escape the harsh reality of what had happened.Juno faced the situation in a realistic approach seeking an adoptive pair for her child as soon as she gives birth. She felt different being stared at a school with a bulging tummy but she was never crying in the movie always just feeling animosity towards the situation and thinking like a passive rock star without a care in the world. She develops raport with the adoptive parents she chose, the soon to be adoptive mother is Jennifer Garner. The Alias star plays a very girly role whose fulfillment in life lies in her hands by making her a mother. The adoptive father is a commercial music composer who Juno relates very much with and soon she later finds out that the relationship of the husband and wife was going down the drain. She soon realized that maturity doesnt come with age. Juno is realistic and finds out soon enough she cant raise the baby and be a highschool student still so she gives her baby to Jennifer Garner and realized in the process that she does love Bleeker and the sweetest thing she did was give him a carton of tic tacs it was her surrender to reality and truth. The movie must have made teenage pregnancy look cooler than ever but there are lessons that should not be missed. When a girl or woman screws up and get pregnant there should be no logic that should tell her to kill the life inside her. Every woman is a temple of life and abortion is always killing a life no matter how small it is. Parents should not abandon their children when they screw up but support them even if it hurts them because nothing will change its already there and abandoning is an escape of immaturity.I guess in the end we all have choices and those choices bring in consequences, the thing is the consequences can suck last a lifetime but the wonderful thing about life which the movie showed is that life goes on and change is constant and tomorrow Juno wakes up without the bump anymore but responsibly lost it.

MTV Movie Awards 2009

This year's MTV movie awards can also be called the Twilight Awards. The stars of the hit movie have been catapulted to fame that their presence in a show gives higher ratings. Twilight is a good movie but i can really say that it is not one of the best FIVE for 2009 but it is very entertaining. The stars of the movie have gained so much popularity that today they can't leave their homes without putting on some kind of disguise to at least have some peace. It is the price of fame and money. blah blah. Anyways back to MTV Movie Awards, the host is funny but not as funny as Ben Stiller. It would have been funnier if it was tandem of Adam Rosenberg and Bruno right. I liked that part where they were singing a sort of operatic song with all the cussing. I really thought that the Best Kiss should have gone to the Milk movie characters. It is always hard doing a kissing scene between two straight guys. I especially liked the part where they handed an achievement award to Ben Stiller. They made a parody of the Oscar's new thing of presenting an award.I think Kirsten Stewart should eat some more because she can't carry things as heavy as the popcorn award.Bruno should have made another appearance. All in all this year's awards may not be as rowdy as the previous ones but it had Twilight (which I secretly like) and Bruno. We should not fail to watch so we have a balance of things because MTV = hilarious as Oscars = glorious. It glorifies movies which Oscars may not even consider as one of the best in a hundred years.

a new trend in music these days

I noticed a new trend in the songs lately. Halo,Breathe Slow and Battlefield. These songs have that one uncommon word that is repeated a lot of times in the chorus. These songs are some of those LSS (last song syndrome) songs that seeps into our subconsciousness little by little and before you know it you are singing the song over and over again and you are learning to like it more each day. It just can't be just any word, it has to be a strong word that a person who would sing it for the first time will find it somewhat weird. For Breathe Slow its compooooo oh oh sure. It's an intereting word describing a real lady. It has to be a word that describes an emotion best. For love is a battlefield. A strong word for a modern time. I think Shakespeare can lend a hand to these creative song writers and give them different options for a strong word for their choruses. I wonder whats the next word that would give me LSS. Could it be a big word like flabbergasted flaaaabbergaaa ah ah ah sted.
